I am a registered and accredited Specialist Wellness Counselor with a BA in Social Sciences and a BA Hons in Psychology.
My journey began as a Psychologist administrator where I discovered that sometimes people need not just to talk about their experiences, situations and concerns, but sometimes also need guidance on how to navigate around life as a whole.
Throughout the years I have volunteered in organizations such as South African Depression and anxiety group (SADAG) and CANSA (Cancer Association of South Africa) as a traumer counselor, have worked with churches and schools in the development of their youth programs.
Having dealt with mental health disorder survivors as well as various types of mental health cases, I’ve found that mental illness and ill-health doesn’t just affect the patient but also their family and friends. Supporting a loved one comes at the expense of your time, and pocket, and can be demanding and taxing both physically and emotionally. I wanted to support those that support others as breadwinner, care givers and guardians.
